Describe your drill
Tell ChatGPT the age group, player numbers and coaching focus. Ask for the setup, coaching points and progressions you need.
ChatGPT football drills
Turn a coaching idea into a real drill with a visual pitch diagram and practical coaching detail. Open it without a SessionPlan account, then sign in to save, edit and build it into your next training session.
A coaching prompt is typed into an illustrative ChatGPT interface. A SessionPlan training grid assembles with four attackers, two defenders, a ball and a passing arrow. Coaching points and progressions appear, followed by saving and refining the drill in the SessionPlan library and using it in a training session. The film has music and effects, with all explanations shown as text.
From idea to training ground
Tell ChatGPT the age group, player numbers and coaching focus. Ask for the setup, coaching points and progressions you need.
SessionPlan creates a hosted drill with player positions, movement and coaching information. Open the returned link to see the pitch diagram and any progression frames.
View the guest drill straight away. Sign in to save and edit it, then organise it in your library and add it to a training session. Connected accounts save directly to their library.
The drill, beyond the diagram
A text suggestion is a starting point. SessionPlan keeps the organisation, coaching points and progressions alongside the pitch diagram, ready to review and adapt for your players.
Check how the practice develops, adjust the coaching cues and keep the finished drill ready for your next session.

Start with your coaching focus
Try prompts like these for football or soccer drills. Give the AI drill generator your numbers, space and objectives, then review the practice before you use it.
Example prompt
“Create a 4v2 rondo for my U10s, focusing on receiving on the back foot. Add two progressions.”
Example prompt
“Create a U12 practice for playing out from the back against a high press. Include the goalkeeper and show the passing options.”
Example prompt
“Create a fun dribbling game for twelve U8 players, with a ball each and no queues. Add an easier and a harder version.”
Example prompt
“Create a U14 small-sided game focused on reacting quickly after losing possession. Show player positions and add coaching points.”
Why SessionPlan?
Position players, add equipment and show passing and movement on a purpose-built football pitch diagram.
Instructions, objectives and coaching points stay with the visual, so your idea remains useful when it is time to coach.
Use frames to show how a practice develops. Save the drill, adapt it for your players and add it to a training session.
Whether you draw a drill yourself or use ChatGPT to get started, SessionPlan gives you one workspace for drills, training sessions, squads and matchdays. Use AI-generated drills as part of your session planning, with your coaching judgement guiding the final plan.
Choose how you get started
Generate a drill and open its hosted link to view the pitch, frames and coaching detail. When you want to keep it, select “Save & edit this drill” and create a free account or sign in. Saving, editing and adding it to sessions requires an account and space in your library.
Connect your existing SessionPlan account in ChatGPT to create private drills directly in your library. Open them in SessionPlan to refine the diagrams, adjust coaching points and organise your sessions. Your normal account allowance applies.
With the SessionPlan integration enabled, ChatGPT can create a real hosted drill with a pitch diagram, player positions, movement and coaching information. You can request frames and progressions where useful.
You can generate and view a guest drill without a SessionPlan account. Sign in or create a free account to save it in your private library, edit it and add it to training sessions. Yes. Sign in and select “Save & edit this drill” to save a guest drill before editing its pitch diagram and coaching notes. Drills created with a connected account are already in your library and can be opened in the editor. Guest viewing alone is read-only.
Yes. Include the age group, player numbers, available space and coaching focus in your request. You can also ask for simpler options or progressions. Review and adapt the result to suit your players before training.
SessionPlan charges no extra fee for the integration. You can try the guest workflow without a SessionPlan account. Saving drills uses your normal account allowance: the free plan includes three saved drills, and Pro provides unlimited saved drills. ChatGPT access is subject to its own availability and requirements. View SessionPlan pricing.
Unclaimed guest drills initially expire 30 days after creation. A recorded visit extends availability to at least 30 days from that visit. A save attempt blocked by a full drill library also extends availability for 30 days. Once saved, the drill becomes private in the account that saved it and the guest link no longer provides anonymous access.
Describe it in ChatGPT, then make it your own in SessionPlan.
